Lutece Headcanons and Ideas

– While the plan to stop what they set in motion by getting DeWitt to Columbia was mostly instigated by Robert both were also slightly pissed that they were betrayed by Comstock and that it could have cost each others life. Obviously they do not mind the state they are in now but no one could have known it would end this way and not by them dying or something similar. The thought that it could have killed their ‘sibling’ after working so hard to be together weights more than their own possible death.

– The first messages they were able to send to each other were very cryptic and often parts of them were lost or messed up. This only piqued their interest in the other.

– The universe in which they are is the only in which they can be together and also live the life they want with funds for their studies and experiments while being seen as siblings by the general public. If there were other possibilities they wouldn’t help Comstock to the extent they did and switch to Roberts reality instead of to Rosalinds.

– To a certain extend Robert and even Rosalind actually cared about DeWitt for more than just rectifying the course the universe. While still looking at it in a scientific manner (especially how there are endless worlds from which he can be taken) they do want him to succeed. That’s why they keep giving him hints and actively help out in the Background. Robert, while not acknowledging it, also feels guilty for taking away his child, since both Luteces grew as humans while being together.

– When getting adjusted to his new reality Robert made up different kind of explanations for this new surroundings and especially Rosalind. They got the idea to refer to each other as siblings from this phase but it also included Rosalind being his wife, assistant or even a mirror image.

I think BaS 2 explains pretty well why this is the case (Spoilers below)

We make it possible for Atlas to attack Rapture and even though we don’t see Rapture fall directly we know the time in which this is happening. Assuming Elizabeth is only out for a few hours or at max one day due to the chloroform and then two weeks because of the Truth Serum (as Atlas says) before she makes it possible for Jack to board the plane, Jack should arrive at Rapture around 3 weeks after the New Years Eve.
This is of course only true if

  • I am right about the time Elizabeth is out because of the Chloroform
  • Atlas didn’t lie about the time she was out due to the Truth Serum
  • Atlas sent Jack immediately on his way topside and then back to Rapture
  • Jack’s way out of and back to Rapture didn’t take more than one week

If all of this is the case Jack arrives about 3 weeks after the Civil war started. This is a lot less time than I originally assumed had passed between New Year’s Eve and the start of BioShock 1. Considering how run-down Rapture is when we arrive I always thought at least half a Year had passed since Atlas’ attack.
But the short time would absolutely explain why there are no skeletons only dead bodies.
There were of course victims even before New Years Eve but back then they still took care of the bodies I would assume.
This is a lot of guessing on my side so I can’t prove anything and the writer of the comment back then didn’t have BaS 2 so he couldn’t have known that.
This doesn’t explain why there are no skeletons in BioShock 2 though!

Very fast Scribble (10 Minutes) of my formal Outfit for Robert in BaS maybe on New Years Eve? The twins need to blend in after all! His vest has the same color as Rosalind’s Dress, which isn’t yet decided. I scribbled them because I want to commission a friend to draw the Luteces in these Outfits!

Just a really quick 30 minute Design of Rosalind in a dress. This is how I imagine her to look like in Rapture, maybe during New Years Eve in BaS? Beautiful Clothes, beautiful Hair Style~ Though I’m still unsure about the Dress Color. Do you think the red is okay? I’m also thinking about a Cream White, an icy white or a deep dark green. What do you guys think?^^

Elizabeth’s Time in the Asylum

So I have a few questions and I thought maybe someone in the fandom here on Tumblr could help me out.

1. In one of the tears Dr. Pettifog mentions a ‘surgery’ that is going to take place tomorrow and advises Elizabeth to eat. Is there any information or any clues on your side as to what kind of surgery he means? Is it about her abilities, or a ‘classic’ lobotomies/something similar?

2. When she was freed of the machine by Booker so she could use her abilities again the Dr.s at her side disappeared or died, but how? I didn’t really understand this scene. Is there anyone who can help me?

I would appreciate opinions and ideas ^0^

31 Days of Bioshock Infinite – Day 11

A Moment that made me Uncomfortable or Creeped out?

I was honestly afraid the first time I fought Lady Comstock! I was unsure if I could even hurt her and she made those unearthly sounds and suddenly there were enemies everywhere! I panicked…
(Also I’m sorry but I messed up this is actually Day 12, I’ll upload the real Day 11 tomorrow)
