This is on of my absolute favorite tutorials, and I can’t believe I haven’t posted this yet… I’ve used this method hundreds of times (okay, maybe 3-4), but it works flawlessly every time.
This method creates beautiful armor pieces on the cheap, but they still look amazing. This is one of those cosplay-life-changers!

While there are many different techniques for painting foam cosplay pieces, this is the method I use for metal armor that works really well for me. So I have typed out exactly what I do in hopes that it will maybe help someone.
I specifically used this technique for foam Iron Man armor, but it can be used for most metal props.

So I finally started Planning my Mimi Cosplay! ^0^
Mimi Baker from Tales of Legendia. An adorable yet not very important NPC from an under appreciated Game. This is what she looks like:
Isn’t she just too cute? Funny thing is she is also one of the strongest Characters in the whole game! Guess what she fights with?

Yes she’s a Baker and she fights with Bread… PERFECT!
I already bought the sewing pattern. I had to add two more sizes to the pattern by drawing them, since there were a lot dresses in my size but this one was perfect for the Cosplay^^ So instead of buying a pattern that had fitting sizes I bought this one and drew it in the right size xD
The x shows which parts of the pattern I need for the Cosplay^^
Now I only have to buy white and orange cloth, orange and blue trim, 13 big yellow buttons, a white tights, black shoes and a zipper :3 I’ll go buy this or most of it next Tuesday.
It’s only my third Cosplay I hope I can make it look good! ^0^
